RCosD Fellowship with His Excellency Mohamed Juma Al Musharrkh!

Our club was delighted to host His Excellency Mohamed Juma Al Musharrkh for the evening at our latest fellowship. We began the night proudly honouring the UAE with the national anthem and sharing updates on the Rotary Club’s activities.
Following this, everyone enjoyed the delicious food on offer. We had guests from around the world attending which left us with a very full house!
His Excellency and President David Gibson-Moore kept the audience enthralled with their discussion on the opportunities and vision of the Emirate of Sharjah. Some insights shared included:
- Trends to expect in a post-COVID world.
- Areas of focus for the Emirate of Sharjah such as food security, digital transformation, tourism, healthcare, logistics and renewable energy
- areas of strengths Sharjah has in Tourism, specifically eco-tourism, family friendly tourism and cultural tourism
- programs supporting business in Sharjah
The re-quote of the evening was UAE being compared with Israel following the Abraham Accords and UAE being described as the “Scale up Nation”.
Thank you again to His Excellency Mohamed Juma Al Musharrkh. He was awarded with a certificate of appreciation from the club for his support and the Directors joined him for a final photo. Following this the guests dispersed for discussions of business, organsing their next social gatherings and brainstorming on which community projects to support next.
